The annual Phoenix Club Group Schϋtzenfest is a friendly shooting competition between the various groups within the Phoenix Club. It’s always a great and fun way for the various groups to get together, enjoy each other’s company and of course a drink at the end!
Each group, represented by 4 members they choose, shoot in two separate rounds. The first round is shooting for score on standard paper targets The second round, or the “Hunter’s Round”, requires the teams to shoot at target scene of a deer in the woods. The catch is that the target board is facing the BACK side to the shooter; thus it is a blind shot. The group whose shot is closest to the target wins.
